AMORPHOPHALLUS
Plants in the Amorphophallus genus are herbs with an underground storage organ called a tuber. One single leaf emerges from the tuber consisting of a vertical stalk (petiole) and a horizontal leaf blade which is divided into few or many leaflets. Like other Aroids Amorphophallus have an inflorescence consisting of a spathe and a spadix once the plant matures.
