FICUS
There are a wide variety of Ficus plants... some are evergreen while some loose their leaves, some are shrubs and climbing plants while some are large trees.
A milky sap (latex), which soon coagulates, seeps from different kinds of Ficus when injured. At one time the latex from one or two kinds of Ficus had a market value as rubber.
Aerial roots are produced from the branches on some Ficus descending down to the ground producing regular roots like the famous Banyan Tree.
