There are around 60 species of Sansvierias which are native to India, Indonesia and Africa. These popular and resilent evergreen perennials are grown for their stiff, fleshy, patterned 12 - 24 inch tall leaves. Stems of greenish-white slightly fragrant flowers appear in late spring in warm conditions.
